AMERICUS – The Southland Academy Junior Varsity Cheerleading Squad for the 2018-19 school year has been selected. According to Southland athletic officials, the girls were chosen based on their gymnastic abilities, jumping, cheer, dance and spirit skills. Mrs. Shay Torbert is the Southland Academy Junior Varsity Cheerleading Coach.

The junior varsity squad includes eight rising eighth graders: Ella Arnold, Scarlett Carey, Lainey Collier, Lily Haugabook, Anna Grace Horne, Taylor Ragsdale, Eva Grace Studdard and Tate Young.

The squad also contains five rising seventh graders: Camie Cochran, Kylee Ann Crawford, Julie Clare Hubbard, Sydney Joiner and Mia Mixon. Congratulations are in order for all of the members of the 2018-19 Southland Academy Junior Varsity Cheerleading Squad.
