Norman Leads Hurricanes into sixth-place position at Bearcat Classic

GREENWOOD, SC – Georgia Southwestern State University golfer Vincent Norman leads the GSW golf team as he is tied for sixth place after Day 1 of the Bearcat Classic on Monday, March 25, in Greenwood, SC.
The Tournament is being hosted by Lander University.
On Day 1 of the tournament, Norman shot scores of 70 and 71 for a total score of 141 (-3). With rounds of 285 and 293, GSW stands in sixth place out of 22 teams with a score of 578 (+2) after the first two rounds of the tournament.
Tyler Barker finished rounds 1 and 2 with a score of 145 (+1) and is tied for 24th place with rounds of 68 and 77. Will Hernandez shot a 71 and a 76 in the first two rounds and is tied for 40th place with a total score of 147. Cole Madison is tied for 47th place with a score of 148. Madison shot rounds of 75 and 73. Ryan Cahill shot rounds of 77 and 74 and is tied for 69th place with a total score of 151.
Dan Bradbury of Lincoln Memorial University (TN) stands a top the player leaderboard. Bradbury shot rounds of 69 and 68 for a total score of (-7). Clayton State’s Andres Caballero and Nick Woof are tied for second place with a total score of 139 (-5).
The Hurricanes began the final round this morning at 8:30 a.m. GSW shot a total score of 292 in the final round. Norman led the way with a 69, followed by Hernandez with a 72. Tyler Barker shot a 75. Ryan Cahill shot a 76 and Cole Madison rounded out the Hurricanes’ scoring as he shot a 78.
