AMERICUS

Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church

Healing Temple Ministries

Campbell Chapel A.M.E. Church

The Young People Department of your church, as well as your church family, are invited to attend the annual Youth Day Celebration at 3 p.m. Sept. 29 with the Rev. Michael Edge, William Grove Baptist Church, Ellaville, as speaker. Theme is “Building Up God’s Kingdom.”

The Eastern District Lay Organization sponsors a barbecue dinner sale from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 5 at the church. A donation of $8 will get you chopped barbecue, baked beans, cole slaw, bread, and

cake.

 

Salem United Methodist Church

Homecoming is celebrated at 11 a.m. Oct. 6. The Rev. McCray Dove, who is also lead singer of the Dove Brothers Quartet, brings the message. Lunch will be served following the worship service.

Dove also performs with the Dove Brothers Reunion Quartet at 6 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Barn (1574 Ga. Highway 49 North, Andersonville. Everyone is welcome.

Big Bethel Baptist Church

Everyone is invited to the 136th church anniversary celebration at 7 p.m. Oct. 9. New St. Paul Baptist Church and Pastor Michael Walker are in charge of the service along with the Old Corinth Baptist Church Choir.

On Oct. 13, the morning service is at 11 a.m. with Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church and its Pastor KeAnthony Brooks. And, at 2 p.m., the Rev. Dr. H. C. Wilson and Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church are in charge of the closing service.

Greater New Lebanon Baptist Church

The Progressive Ushers Union meets at 11 a.m. Sept. 29 when the Rev. Glenn Bryant brings the message. All ushers and members are asked to attend.

Greater Cedar Spring Missionary Baptist Church

Bethlehem Baptist Church

A Deacon and Deaconness program is at 10:45 a.m. Sept. 29. Guest speakers are Deacon Larry and Deaconess Betty Faye Bouyer of New Provisor Missionary Baptist Church. Georgia Southwestern State University Gospel Choir renders the music.  The Rev. O’Quintodd Bryant, host pastor delivers the message. Men are asked to wear black and white and women are asked to wear white. Everyone is invited.

A gospel singing starts at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 featuring Three in Accord.
