A shooting in the 600 block of Eastview Circle Saturday took the life of 5-year-old Peyton Brielle Roberts. Jotavis Roshon Leverette, a 19-year-old male, has also died. He was initially transferred from Phoebe to another hospital in critical condition before succumbing to his injuries. A third victim’s wounds were not life threatening.

A suspect, Ricky Martin, has been arrested and charged with one count Felony Murder, one count Aggravated Assault, and one count Aggravated Battery. Martin is being held in the Sumter County jail. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is still investigating. Another suspect, Ny’Tavion Smith, age 20, has been arrested in connection with the death of Peyton Roberts on charges of Felony Murder and Aggravated Assault.
