I enjoy walking down Lee Street. But it’s not just the exercise. The reason I enjoy it, is because almost every time I’ve been down it recently, I’ve struck up some sort of conversation with someone I knew.

It is very difficult scheduling time to be with people, so I find it very enjoyable when it just happens. I’ve seen a lot of just-happens meetings in coffee shops too, though since I’ve written about them before I’ll try to be brief. I’ll often cross paths with a friend who has Bible study, and sometimes I’ll meet another friend who’s studying on Saturday.

I think that’s one of the nice things about community. A lot of things don’t take the conscious effort they otherwise would. You don’t have to think of making plans to meet with someone. You just do.
