Sumter County Middle School celebrated its September Student of the Month Breakfast on Sept. 3. Approximately 25 students and their parents and guardians were invited to the ceremony in which a full breakfast of sausage, bacon, eggs, grits and biscuits was served. During the breakfast, Stacy Favors, principal, greeted parents and students. Sherri Nance, counselor, spoke to parents about the Parent Portal, counseling services and upcoming events including Grandparents’ luncheon and Title I input meeting, and each child was honored with a certificate, and the positive comments from their nominating teachers were read aloud by Greg Aplin.
