WOODSTOCK — Mr. Steven Charles “Steve” Mizio, 64, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at his daughter’s home in Woodstock.
Funeral services are planned for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 26, in the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., with the Rev. Brooks Partain officiating. Burial is to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 9 and 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning, at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St.
A native of New York, Mr. Mizio was born on March 10, 1951, to the late Edwin Casper Mizio and Cora Mae Middaugh Mizio, who survives him. He was retired from Davidson/Textron as a press technician, and later worked at Mike’s Party Center.
Survivors include his wife, Minh Chau Mizio of Americus; his mother, Cora Mizio of White Oak, Ga.; a daughter, Cathy Minh Gray (Brandon) of Woodstock; two sisters, Nancy M. Judy (Luther) of Monroe, N.C., and Alice M. Drury (Paul) of White Oak, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
In honor of Steve’s love of animals, for those wishing to do so, memorial contributions are suggested to the Sumter Humane Society, 108 Industrial Blvd., Americus, GA 31709.
