Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church
The church’s 150th anniversary kickoff is at 11 a.m. Jan. 9. It  includes a Commemorative Walk from the church’s first home at Forrest and Church streets. Members and friends are asked to line the streets along the way. Balloons and bubbles will be released. Other activities include a pep rally, best cheer competition, motivational talks and prayers, Community Singers sponsored by AmeriGospel Inc. and the Americus Sumter High School Drumline.
