Learning cursive

Students in Terri Greene’s fifth-grade homeroom at Webster County Schools have the opportunity to practice writing their names in cursive each morning during their homeroom time. The teacher provides them with a laminated copy of their name written in cursive and the student uses dry-erase strips to practice writing their name as close to the example that is before them. Students then erase their attempt and try again. Shown here are Jasmine Mayhew, Haylee Harry, Ja’Mecia Issacs, and Kendall Walker working on writing their name in cursive.
