• Firefighters responded to 28 calls for medical assistance.
• Firefighters responded to Hudson Street and Oglethorpe Avenue to a report of a gas leak. A power crew had struck a gas line while putting a support beam on a power pole. The scene was turned over to the gas department.
• Firefighters responded to Oglethorpe Avenue to a report of smoke coming from a residence. They found occupants burning household trash in the backyard because they had missed the garbage truck. They extinguished the fire. The City has a no-burn policy.
• Firefighters responded to Hanson Street to a kitchen fire. Upon arrival, the fire was out. They ventilated the structure which was full of smoke.
• Firefighters responded to a smoke detector activation on East Jefferson Street. It was a false alarm.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on East Lamar Street.
• Firefighters responded to Eastview Circle to a report of a possible structure fire. Occupants said smoke was seen coming from the laundry room. Investigation using thermal imaging showed a hot outlet. Power was shut off to the water heater and furnace and occupants were advised to contact the landlord.
• Firefighters responded to Prince and Forsyth streets to a report of wires down. They removed a cable or telephone line lying across the road.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on Prince Street.
• Firefighters responded to a smoke alarm on Garden Lane. There was no fire.
• Firefighters responded to a stove fire on Lonnie Lane. The fire was out upon arrival. No hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to twice to Golden Gourmet, 107 Industrial Blvd. to a smoke detector activation. The alarm was faulty; no hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded twice to a fire alarm on Forrest Street. No hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to Columbia Avenue to a report of a smoke odor in the residence.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on South Lee Street. No hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at West Forsyth Street and Baldwin Boulevard.
• Firefighters responded to Taylor Street to assist an invalid.
