The Americus-Sumter County Arts Council has approved 2016 funding for the The Southwest Civic Chorus. A $500 check was presented to Julie Megginson, chair of the Music Department at Georgia Southwestern State University. The Americus-Sumter County Arts Council, established in 1990, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the education and enrichment of our community in the area of cultural arts.
