• Firefighters responded to 10 calls for medical assistance.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on North Dudley Street. The alarm was accidental.
• Firefighters responded to a tree down in the roadway on Patton Drive. They removed it.
• Firefighters responded to Brinson Street to a report of a power line down. They found a tree limb had brought it and notified Georgia Power.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on East Forsyth Street.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm at Charlie Johnston Realty, 129 W. Forsyth St. It was determined that a tenant cooking had activated the smoke alarm.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at Mayo and Railroad streets.
• Firefighters responded to Ivey Street to a report of a gas leak/odor. They waited on scene until the city gas department arrived.
• Firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire on Elmo Street. The fire was in the kitchen area and spreading toward the ceiling. They extinguished the fire and ventilated the structure.

• Benjamin F. Clark, 43, of 406 Pine St., Americus is charged with felony failure to appear in court for finger printable charge, and was released on bond.
• Marcus A. Cooper, 33, of 160 Lane Subdivision Road, Americus is charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and was jailed.
• Joe A. Cox, 57, of 136 Pecan Terrace, Americus is charged with disorderly conduct, and was jailed.
• Sheresa Cross, 34, of 401 Ashby St., Americus is charged with aggravated assault, and was jailed.
