ATLANTA — William Christopher Gordon “Chris” Stanfield, age 27, of Milner, Ga., passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at Grady Memorial Hospital. Chris was born on Sunday, Oct. 22, 1989, in Americus, Ga., to Denver Gordon Stanfield and Tracey Bowen Stanfield. He was a 2008 graduate of Jackson High School. Chris was a very proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served two tours of duty in Afghanistan. He had a great impact on peoples’ lives. Chris was an electrical engineer for Caterpillar. He enjoyed body building. Chris dearly loved his children, “his ninjas.” He attended Rock Springs Church.
Chris is survived by his children, Carter Stanfield and Kensley Stanfield; mother of his children, Stephanie Stanfield; parents, Denver and Tracey Stanfield; sister, Jennifer Stanfield; fiancé, Laura Wynne, and her son, Hunter Wynne; grandmother, Ruth Stanfield; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service for Chris Stanfield will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Rock Springs Church. Interment will follow in the Worthville Baptist Church Cemetery.
