A word from Sumter Cycling: Looking for bicycling buddies?

Perhaps you enjoy cycling but none of your friends share your enthusiasm. Well, Sumter Cycling has the answer. The first Saturday of each month, the organization hosts a local ride to encourage cyclists of all ages and abilities to participate.
The next first Saturday ride will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017, beginning at Pat’s Place on S. Lee Street in Americus. Starting time is 9:00 a.m., with two routes offered: a 9.2 mile route with speeds averaging between 10-12 miles per hour and a 21 mile course with an average speed of 15-17 mph or faster if the group prefers. Course routes are available for viewing:

The 21 mile course – http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/1729678307
All rides are “no drop” experiences, meaning no one is left alone on the course.
Following the rides, cyclists are encouraged to return to Pat’s Place for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Pizza will be provided free, compliments of Pat’s Place and Sumter Cycling. Drinks and any side orders will be purchased by the riders.
So, what are you waiting for? Get that bike out of the garage and join us on September 2nd.
