Faith Baptist Church welcomes new pastor

AMERICUS — Members of Faith Baptist Church in Americus have a new pastor, the Rev. Curtiss Moore, who accepted the position at their church and began serving the church on July 30. Moore, who lives in Columbus, is married to Angela M. P. Moore and has three daughters, Abby, Anna, and Alli.
He was ordained in July 1994, at First Baptist Church in Washington, Ga., and has a master of divinity with biblical languages and a bachelor of arts in Christianity with a Greek minor. He has had experience at Baptist churches in Columbus, Thomaston, and White Plains, serving as youth and family minister, youth minister and associate pastor, and as pastor. As a bi-vocational pastor at Faith Baptist, he also teaches history at a Christian school in Columbus.
The community is invited to the 11 a.m. Sunday services to meet the new pastor.
