Arrests clear several crimes

AMERICUS — The Americus Police Department and Georgia State Patrol Post 10 on April 20 arrested Brandon M. Williams, 31, of Americus following a traffic stop on Rucker Street. Williams is charged with speeding, seat belt violation, suspended registration, no insurance, DUI alcohol, possession of marijuana, possession of a
Schedule I Controlled Substance within 1,000 ft. of public housing, and possession of marijuana within 1,000 ft. of public housing. Williams was processed and taken to the Sumter County Jail.
The Americus Police Department made an arrest on April 24, which has cleared several crimes committed over the last 30 days. Arrested was Eugene Marcus Walker, 35, of Americus. Walker is charged with six counts of robbery, two counts of assault, and five counts of shoplifting. Walker’s arrest has cleared several crimes committed over the past month, and other crimes are still under investigation that may be connected to Walker. Walker was processed and taken to jail.
The Americus Police Department have also signed warrants on a Rodney Green Jr., 24, of Americus following an incident on Reddick Drive on April 21. Warrants have been signed on Green for possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance, possession of a Schedule III or IV Controlled Substance, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, manufacture/possess etc. of controlled or counterfeit drugs, and drugs not in original container.
