SMITHVILLE — Joyce Y. Davis of Smithville, Ga., died Sunday, July 15, 2018, at her residence in Smithville, Ga. She was being cared for by Affinis Hospice. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Smithville City Cemetery. The Rev. David Messer will officiate.

Born in Smithville, Ga., Mrs. Davis graduated from Lee County High School. Mrs. Davis worked for the Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Service in Americus, Ga., for 37 years and retired in 1995. She was a member of the Smithville Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George R. Davis. Survivors include two daughters, Karen Davis Booker and her husband, Dwight of Brandon, Fla., and Rana Davis Parsons and her husband, Shane of Smithville, Ga.; five grandchildren, Tyler Booker and his wife, Erin of Valrico, Fla., Taylor Booker of Plant City, Fla., Shayna Ellis and her husband, Jeremy of Smithville, Ga., Destiny Edwards of Smithville, Ga., Kolt Parsons and his wife, Kaitlyn of Smithville, Ga.; and seven great-grandchildren, Haze Edwards, Steel Edwards, Brylyn Parsons, Triton Parsons, Gatlin Ellis, Sylar Ellis, and Leighton Booker.

The family will receive friends following the service at Smithville City Cemetery.
