Two Schley County pitchers team up to shut out Bleckley County

ELLAVILLE – Schley County pitchers Perri DeVane and Hannah Crawford combined to toss an 8-0 shutout against Bleckley County on Wednesday, August 22, at Schley County High School.
DeVane gave up no runs on three hits over four and a third innings and walked only one batter. Crawford pitched two-thirds of an inning in relief. She gave up no runs, no hits and walked only one batter.
Emily Campbell led the Lady Wildcats’ offensive attack. She went 3-for3, drove in four RBIs and scored two runs. Alexis Bradshaw also went 3-for-3, scoring two runs and driving in two RBIs.
Schley County scored two runs in the first, one in the second and five in the fourth inning. They scored eight runs on seven hits and committed two errors. Bleckley County was scoreless with only three hits and they committed one error.
