Americus-Sumter High School recently held its ‘Student of the Month’ celebration for the month of August. Eight faculty members from the Science Department each chose one student to be recognized during a ceremony hosted in the school library. Principal Kimothy Hadley presented each student with a plaque and a ‘Panthers’ water bottle. Hadley praised each student, followed by comments from their nominating teachers. After the ceremony participants enjoyed refreshments and a chance to mingle with parents, friends, and faculty.
