The Americus-Sumter Ninth Grade Academy JROTC took its first field trip of the year to Fort Benning National Infantry Museum in Columbus. Along with fellow cadets from the Americus-Sumter High campus, they were given a guided tour of the museum by retired Army veterans. While on the base they were treated to a full meal and endless dessert at the Army Dining Facility. SFC(Ret) Lawrence Cole is the JROTC instructor at ASNGA.
