AMERICUS — The following food service inspections were conducted recently by the Sumter County Health Department.
• Route 19 House of Dogs, 913 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Americus; observed no Employee Reporting Agreements signed by the individuals that work at the establishment. Person in charge is to have every person who hands the food sign a copy of the agreement. Signed copies need to be kept on site and made available during future inspections; observed no written cleanup procedure in the event of a vomiting or diarrheal incident. Person in charge is to have a cleanup procedure on site and make the procedure available during future inspections; observed a missing bolt in the ice machine and rust-like coloration around the bolts that are in place. Person in charge is to have missing bolt replaced and clean the inside of the machine; observed that the establishment did not have a choking poster. Person in charge is to have a choking poster on display in the establishment; observed that the establishment did not have sanitizer test strips on site. Person in charge is to provide test strips for all sanitizing solutions; observed the women’s restroom door is not self closing. Person in charge is to have the door rendered self closing; observed raw wood behind the drink counter. Person in charge is to have the wood rendered nonabsorbent and easy to clean; 1-23-19; score: 89
• Granny’s Kitchen, 188-A U.S. Highway 19 South, Americus; observed water leaking from a ceiling air vent; 1-3-19; score: 99
• Little Brother’s Bistro & Café, 133 W. Lama St., Americus; 1-3-19; score: 88
• Pizza Hut, 1206 Crawford St., Suite J, Americus; 12-20-18; score: 91
• Dragon Palace Express, 505-B N. Lee St., Americus; 12-5-18; score: 100
• King’s Deli, 1041 E. Forsyth St., Americus; 12-4-18; score: 91

• Los Aztecas Mexican Restaurant, 114 4th Ave., Buena Vista; 12-21-18; score: 100
• Hot Wing Express, 110 Broad St., Buena Vista; observed chicken wings being held in the walk-in cooler holding at temperatures greater than 41 degrees F. Person in charge voluntarily discarded the wings; 12-21-18; score: 91
