AMERICUS — Fidensio Castillo, 80, of Americus, died Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at his home. A native of Lockney, Texas, he was born Nov. 16, 1938, to the late Isabel Castillo and Isidra Bonilla Castillo. He was a loving husband and father and worked hard to make sure his family was provided for. Time with his family on the weekends was very important to him.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel in Americus. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m., an hour prior to the funeral, at the funeral home.
Survivors include four daughters: Isidra Garcia of Americus, Maryann Parrott of Americus, Elizabeth Ramos of Homestead, Fla., and Dorcas Reyes of Plains; three sons: David Castillo of Wauchula, Fla., Abraham Castillo of Sebring, Fla., and Oscar Martinez of Americus. Also surviving are two sisters: Inez Hernandez of Plainview, Texas, and Olegaria Maldonado of Richmond, N.J.; and a brother, Fransico Castillo of Plainview, Texas; 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
