Council of Safety Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, Americus, recently presented two camellia plants to Magnolia Manor in the observance of Arbor Day. Here the Chapter’s executive board presents the plants — a Frank Houser and a Grand Marshal — to Mark Todd, president and CEO of Magnolia Manor. The Frank Houser bears large, deep-pink blooms and will be planted near the front entrance of the main building, and the other, a Grand Marshal variety, will be planted in the Pal Markette Memorial Camellia Garden. Front row from left are Phyllis Tucker, Beth Usry, Gay Sheppard, Nancy Gaston, Lisa Simpson, Leila Case, Mark Todd; and back row from left are Mary Ferguson and Carolyn Dowdey. Rebecca McNeill, conservation co-chairman, was not present.
