Grant E. Stepp, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Aug. 26, 2019. Grant was born on July 16, 1950, in LaCrosse, Wisc., the son of the late Vernon and Frances (Hathaway) Stepp. Grant proudly served his country with the U.S Army in Vietnam. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Pamela Loper, on April 21, 1977.
The most important thing in his life was his family. He had a special place in his heart for his daughter and grandchildren. We thank God for the wonderful blessing of his life. He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife, Pamela, his daughter, Berkeley (Jeff) Walker, grandchildren, Reynolds and Townsend; three brothers, Jim (Marsha), Chris (Debra), and Paul (Cathy); and sister, Barbara Plantamura. Grant is also survived by his brother-in-law, Larry (Karen) Loper; as well as nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Lincoln.
He owned Grant Stepp Equipment, buying and selling construction equipment worldwide. Grant was passionate about golf, football, and the excitement of the auction business. His amazing sense of humor was equal to none.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 6-8-p.m. Thursday at H.M. Patterson & Son Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Services Celebrating his life will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 30 at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, 3180 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30305. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
