The Sumter County Board of Commissioners, Emergency Management and Administration are actively monitoring COVID-19 (Coronavirus) activity and reports.

It is our priority to ensure the safety of our employees and our citizens during this time.

Sumter County offices will remain open until further notice. 

In order to protect our employees from unnecessary exposure and to cooperate with State and National measures to control and contain COVID-19, we are asking that our citizens refrain from  making unnecessary visits to County facilities during this time.  Of course, our staff will be available to help anyone in need of assistance.  If needed assistance could be obtained by phone, we encourage citizens to call instead of coming to county facilities in person.  If citizens must visit county facilities, we ask that visitors refrain from bringing children into the facilities unless absolutely necessary.
