AMERICUS – Georgia Southwestern State University senior Marco Trstenjak was named the Peach Belt Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week on Tuesday, October 24, by the league office.

Trstenjak led the 81-player field at last week’s Hurricane Invitational after posting scores of 75, 68 and 71. He won the three-round event shooting a two-under par 214. Trstenjak drained eight birdies and an eagle over the two days and guided No. 7 GSW to a team championship as well.

Trstenjak became the 17th golfer in GSW program history to capture and individual title. It was his third Top 10 finish of the season and his first Top 5 finish of the fall. He currently ranks fifth in the PBC with a 70.9 scoring average.
