First-year head coach Jacob Crawford has finalized the Georgia Southwestern State University 2024 women’s soccer schedule with 16 matches, eight of them to be played at Hurricane Field.

GSW will begin its season on Thursday, Sept. 5 with a neutral site match. The Lady Hurricanes will meet Florida Southern College on the campus of Columbus State University for an 11 a.m. contest. The Lady Hurricanes return to Americus for their home opener on Sept. 12 against Rollins College. The schools have met the past two seasons and both matches have ended in scoreless draws.

Following a five-year hiatus, GSW and Brewton-Parker College will square off on Sept. 14. The Lady Hurricanes make the trip to Mt. Vernon, GA., where they’ve played once in program history back in 2008 when the schools met for the first time. Following a trip to Valdosta State (Sept. 18), GSW opens Peach Belt Conference play on Sept. 21 with a visit from USC Beaufort. A first-ever meeting between GSW and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College comes on Sept. 24 at Hurricane Field and the month wraps up with a trip to Clayton State (Sept. 28).

Back-to-back home matches open October. Flagler College visits on Oct. 5 and then a first-ever meeting with Allen University (Oct. 8). GSW travels to USC Aiken on the 12th and returns home to host Albany State on the 16th. A season-high two-match road trip ensues with trips to North Georgia (Oct. 19) and Columbus State (Oct. 23) before home contests against Lander University (Oct. 26) and Middle Georgia State (Oct. 29). The match against Lander will be a part of GSW’s 2024 Homecoming celebration. The regular season concludes on Nov. 2 at Georgia College & State University.

The Lady Hurricanes return 10 players, which includes only three seniors.
