Sumter County Volleyball Team earns hard-fought victory over Peach County

The Sumter County High School Volleyball Team improved its record to 2-1 on Tuesday with a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Peach County at the Panther Den.
The Panthers won the first set by the score of 25-22, but dropped the second set to PC by the score of 25-22. However, they were able to win the next two sets by scores of 25-17 and 25-18 to take the match.
Both Jesstynie Scott and Lauryn Lusane each had a total of four kills on the day, while Arya Patel had a total of 12 service aces to lead the Panthers’ attack.
Sumter County will try to keep their winning ways going when they head across the Flint River to Cordele to battle the Cougars of Crisp County on Thursday, August 15. First serve is scheduled for 5 p.m.
