The Americus Civitan held Christmas Parities at the Middle Flint Day Care Center in Americus. The members served cookies, drinks and candy to approximately 150 peers of the three day care centers and presented Santa Claus with photos for each one to share with their family and friends. This is an annual event for the Americus Club, which is part of Civitan International headquartered in Birmingham Alabama. Civitan is an organization that is world wide and the main emphasis is care to adults and children with developmental disabilities. Members helping serve the guest are Keelan Barkley, President, Cheryl Smith, President Elect, Corbett Howell, Chaplain, Liss Wiggins, Valarie Rummel, Larry Rummel and Gerald Smith, members.
