AMERICUS — The investigation into an armed robbery at a convenience store Saturday night continues today.

Sumter County at Gas-n-Go, 506 U.S. Highway 280 East, Americus.

Two male suspects entered the store wielding pistols, according to the sheriff’s report. They stole an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes and the owner’s van. According to the report, the male and female owners were assaulted during the robbery and were taken to Phoebe Sumter Medical Center for treatment.
